The Role
We are looking for Duty Managers to join the opening team of the White Horse Tavern. As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of our venues. You will work as a team to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while leading by example to foster a positive and professional workplace culture. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of service Three Pound Group is known for, ensuring both guest satisfaction and team cohesion.
Key Responsibilities
Open and close the venue in line with established procedures
Assist front-of-house with bar, floor, and function service during daily operations
Oversee the setup and management of functions and bookings
Greet and seat guests, delivering superior customer service to ensure guest satisfaction
Lead and direct employees during shifts, upholding high service standards
Provide on-the-job training and support to staff as needed
Monitor and enforce Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) compliance
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable venue
Handle accurate financial reconciliation and reporting
Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality management or related field
Valid unrestricted Approved Managers Card
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Effective communication skills
Organisational and multitasking capabilities

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Bottle Shop Manager to lead the team at our new retail liquor outlet, located at the White Horse Tavern. In this leadership role, you will oversee all bottle shop operations, drive sales, manage supplier relationships, and uphold high standards of service and presentation. Reporting to the Venue Manager and Operations team, you will play a key role in establishing and growing the bottle shop's reputation within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily bottle shop operations, ensuring smooth customer experience and retail efficiency
Handle ordering, deliveries, stock control and inventory management
Build and maintain positive relationships with supplies and distributors
Drive sales and meet KPI’s through effective merchandising, product knowledge and customer engagement
Recruit, train and lead high-performing, friendly and approachable retail team
Work closely with the venue manager to support venue goals
Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold a passion for service excellence
Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and store layout
Ensure full compliance with RSA, licensing, health and safety, and company policies
Lead by example and cultivate a proactive, professional, and customer-focused team culture
Experience and Qualifications
Previous management experience in a similar bottle shop or retail liquor environment
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with hands on approach
High level of organisation and time management
Valid Approved Managers Card

Key Responsibilities
Depending on your role, duties may include:
Preparing and Serving beverages with speed and precision
Taking and delivering food and drink orders with attention to detail
Setting, resetting and clearing tables
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the venue
Assisting with venue cleanliness, waste removal, and general support (yard-hands)
Greeting and engaging with guests to ensure a positive experience
Upholding RSA, Hygiene and workplace safety standards
Working closely with your team ad managers to ensure smooth operations
What we’re looking for
Positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic
Previous experience in hospitality preferred but not essential
Availability to work a range of hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Valid RSA
Willingness to learn and contribute to a supportive, fast-paced team environment
